Two for One Thali and Kite Flying

Join Mukka for an incredible weekend, starting with buy One get one free thali for yourself and a friend, followed by fun activities at Edinburgh gardens in North Fitzroy. We will be flying kites, playing carom board, munching on samosas and slurping on chai at the park. There will also be Indian sweets. Look out for a colorful Mukka marquee in the gardens.

WHEN?

Two-for-One Thali: 19-20th August 2017 from 12 to 5 pm (Saturday and Sunday) at Mukka (365 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy).

Kite flying: 20th August 2017 from 12 to 5 pm (Sunday only) at the Edinburgh gardens (look out for the Mukka marquee).

 

 

 

 

What is a Thali?

Thali, meaning a round tray or a plate, is a delicious Indian meal made up of a selection of various dishes. This selection of dishes varies from region to region in India and is usually served in small bowls on a round tray. Mukka will be serving updated North Indian Thalis from 12pm on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August 2017 and they the bomb!

Why Kite flying?

It’s Indian Independence day on 15th of August, the sky is dotted with kites of various hues, shapes, and sizes. This popular activity is carried out nation wide and the tradition still continues associating with the spirit of freedom 🙂
